Abstract

This book review examines Joan Robinson's critique of classical and neoclassical economic thought. It discusses her treatment of value, utility, laissez-faire, free trade, capital, time and economic theory, highlighting the distinction between economics as a science and economics as an ideological framework. The review considers the continuing relevance of Robinson's arguments in the context of contemporary economic inequality and economic theory.
