Research Article Export Potential of Indian Basmati Rice with Global World: An Analytical Approach

The paper examines the export potential of Indian basmati rice in the global market using secondary data and statistical techniques including average, standard deviation, coefficient of variation and Compound Annual Growth Rate. The study finds an increasing trend in India's basmati rice exports and identifies Nepal, Bhutan, Comoros, Indonesia and Bangladesh among the countries showing high growth in imports from India. It recommends greater incentives and stronger demand promotion for Indian basmati rice exports.

Research Article Export Prospect and Performance of APEDA Products: A Study in the State of Assam

The study examines the export prospects and performance of agricultural products from Assam. Using the Revealed Comparative Advantage Index along with CAGR and AAGR analysis of export value and quantity, the study finds that Assam's agricultural produce has comparative advantage in India's agricultural export basket and that export growth has shown a positive trend. The study highlights Assam's potential to become an important agricultural export hub in the North-Eastern region.

Research Article A Study on the Living Conditions and Status of Shifting Cultivators in Tripura
Preview Abstract

The paper examines the living conditions and socio-economic status of shifting cultivators in Tripura. It finds that shifting cultivation is largely subsistence farming for tribal communities, with low output and income, inadequate housing, sanitation and drinking water facilities, food insecurity and limited access to resources. Climate change and declining rainfall are affecting production and income, while children of shifting cultivators experience high dropout rates. The study recommends alternative livelihood policies for these marginalized communities.

Research Article Inter-District Disparities in Health Infrastructure in Haryana

The study analyses inter-district disparities in health infrastructure across Haryana using four health infrastructure indicators. Coefficient of variation, mean, standard deviation, development and deprivation indices and the Borda ranking method are used to assess disparities. The study identifies differences in the level of health facility development among districts and emphasizes equitable resource allocation and improved health infrastructure.
